Special Biscocho

$9.00Price

Biscocho refers to baked bread topped with butter and sugar, or garlic, in some cases. They are a popular speciality pastry product of the province of Ilo-ilo in the Philippines. It is popularly purchased as a pasalubong product. Pasalubong is the Filipino tradition where travellers bring gifts from their destination to loved ones back home.

Magic Melt is not the first one to produce biscocho. However, it is the first one to make a twist of this popular pasalubong product by a garlic flavour in the biscocho. Garlic (scientific name Allium sativum) is a species in the onion genus, Allium. Garlic is widely used around the world for its pungent flavour as a seasoning or condiment.

Magic Melt’s biscocho differ from the other biscochos because it toasts fresh buns. Thus these biscochos are softer. Others use stale buns as toasted breads originally come from stale bread and toasted to increase the shelf life.
